Halloween and Your Pets...
October is here, which means that Halloween is right around the corner..... And if you consider your pet to be part of the family, then it might as well take part in the Halloween festivities and join you in Trick or Treating adventures!
In Australia, Halloween has taken off and not only have we jumped on the trick or treat band wagon, we also love to spoil ourselves with lollies and chocolate.
It’s especially important to remind not only yourself, but your family members as well, that chocolate is especially bad for dogs.
This is because chocolate has a toxic component called theobromine. Humans easily metabolize theobromine, but dogs do not process it very effectively at all. Thus it will build up to toxic levels in their system.
But here is the trap..... there is no rule as to when it becomes toxic in dogs. Some will get sick straight away, others might take a bit longer to get sick..... But the one thing you can be sure of.... If your pet dog consumes chocolate, it will get sick at some point!
Here at Huds and Toke, we didn’t think it was fair that our pooches had to miss out on the festivities. So, we developed a Halloween range of dog treats.
These are made specifically for your puppy.... so they are safe to eat....
These are our Creepy Cookies and Blood Splatter Bones.
Made from our famous peanut butter base cookies, these delicious treats are the perfect, safe, way to treat your puppies at this time of year.
Make sure to check out our range of other yummy treats to help spoil your furry families and create awesome memories whilst doing so.
Thanks so much for keeping up with the Huds and Toke family!
